The North (1/2 day) - Tour in Island

Through this excursion, discover the North of the island. You will be able to go shopping while visiting Port Mathurin, the main town of the island, and its various local attractions, mainly the typical handicrafts made of bamboos, ‘vacoas’, aloe fiber and ‘vetiver’. Then you will be driven to Anse aux Anglais, named after the first settlers, the British. You will go through ‘Pointe Vénus’ named in the souvenir of the two astronomers, ‘l’Abbé Pingré’ and the ‘Sieur Thuillier’, who settle during 1761 to observe the passing through of Venus. From there, on the beautiful beaches of Grand Baie where you will be able to take memorable pictures before proceeding further to Baie Aux Huitre, a small fishing village.

The South (1/2 day) - Tour in Island

‘Pointe Coton’ which is situated to the North-East of the island is a perfect place to whom, who like the seaside. The beauty of the spot is attractive.

The minibus will drop you at about 200 metres from ‘Cascade Victoire’, a marvelous green valley, where nest the long tail bird ‘pailles en queue’.

The Coco Island (Full day tour) - Tour in Island

Welcome to Ile aux Cocos! Located at 4 km to the west of Rodrigues, emerging from the lagoon, this strip of sand is a nature reserve where thousands of sea birds have sought shelter. - Ile aux Cocos is undergoing a growing craze. It has become the main tourist attraction of Rodrigues.

To reach the island, it is necessary to sail the 4 km that separate it from the main island in a pirogue. The voyage sometimes turns into an adventure when the tide is low. At certain places, corals and rocks are just above the surface of the water, while at others, you need to steer clear of a sandbank to avoid being stranded.

The lagoon is so shallow that the last kilometer will be covered on foot, in a few centimeters of water. This leaves ample time to the visitor to admire the island in its integrality.

Trou D’Argent– Hiking Tour (½ day tour) - Tour in Island

Transfer by minibus to ‘St Francois’ a very picturesque coastal village, where you will start walking for 30 mins. The tracks starts under the shade of the filao trees along the beach, then it climbs gradually to the bare cliffs along which the track is frequently interrupted by charming creeks with their sandy beaches.

Make a pause at Trou d’Argent the most beautiful creeks with its high silvery cliffs to enjoy a cool drink provided by your guide, swim if you feel to!
